Interesting story- Silly donkey

 Once upon a time there was a village where a man lived.He had a donkey which was his means of livelihood.

He used to carry a sack of salt on the back of his donkey to sell it in another village.He used to make a living with the money that came from selling salt.

To go from one village to another, there used to be a small river in which the water was very less.The man would cross the river with his donkey and go to another village and sell salt there.

Once the water level of the river rose slightly due to excessive rain in that village.At the same time, when the man was crossing the river with his donkey, the donkey's foot slipped and it fell into the river.

Due to the donkey falling into the river, the sack of salt loaded on it got drenched in water, due to which a lot of salt got washed away in the river.

Now when the donkey started crossing the river with his master, the burden placed on him started feeling very less.The donkey thought that this is a very good way to reduce the burden placed on him.

The next day when the man was crossing the river with his donkey, the donkey stopped in the middle of the river and sat down at one place.Due to which a lot of salt flowed into the river from the sack of salt on the donkey.

Due to this the burden on the donkey was greatly reduced and it was very pleased with its cunning.

For a few days the man thought that it was doing this because of the injury to the donkey's leg.The man was suffering a lot due to the sack of salt getting wet and the salt flowing out of it.

Like this many days passed.Now slowly that man was beginning to understand the cunning of the donkey.The man started thinking of a way to deal with this problem.

After much thought, he suggested a solution.He bought a sack full of cotton from the market.

The next day he carried a sack full of cotton on the donkey's back and set off to cross the river.As usual, the donkey sat in the middle while crossing the river.

But this time when the donkey got up and started walking.Then it realised that the burden placed on him had increased manifold.Because the cotton had become many times heavier due to getting wet.Now the donkey was regretting its actions, it thought that it would not do any such wrong thing from now on.

Thus the donkey was taught a good lesson by its owner.
