Inspirational story-Result of greed


 Once upon a time there was a farmer, his wife was very greedy.She always quarreled with her husband due to lack of money.

One night a thief came to the farmer's house with the intention of stealing.The farmer's wife breaks sleep at the sound of the thief's footsteps.

She saw a bundle of stolen goods with the thief.The greed of her heart awakened.The farmer's wife thought why not marry a thief from whom I would get huge money and diamonds and jewels every day.

Thinking this, the farmer's wife called the thief to her and agreed to marry him with her.

After that the farmer's wife ran away with the thief with her husband's money and jewelry.

The thief reached the bank of the river with the farmer's wife.There the thief told the farmer's wife that with so many things we both cannot cross this river together.

So first I come with all this stuff and put it on the other side of the river to pick you up.

Saying this, the thief took all his belongings and went to the other bank of the river.The farmer's wife, sitting on the first bank of the river, waited for the thief for a long time.

Then the farmer's wife saw a jackal on the bank of the river at some distance from her.

The jackal was carrying a piece of meat in his mouth and it was going to eat it.Then the eyes of the jackal fell on a fish swimming on the bank of the river.

Leaving the piece of meat stuck in its mouth, the jackal ran towards the river to catch the fish.

But before the jackal could catch the fish after reaching the bank of the river, the fish went away along the sharp edge of the river.

Now the jackal reached there in despair, where neither had left his piece of meat.The jackal saw that the eagle, which was already ambushed there, was flying away with his piece of meat.The jackal had lost even the meat it had obtained because of his greed.

The farmer's wife was watching all this sitting on the bank of the river.When the thief did not return for a long time, the farmer's wife thought that because of her greed, her condition had become like that of a jackal.

But now the farmer's wife was left with nothing but remorse.
